Grand Hyatt Rosewood Bahamar Wedding // Nassau, Bahamas

You can imagine my excitement when this inquiry popped into my inbox OVER 2 years ago (YUP - thanks covid for drawing this process out extra long for my sweet couple!!!) for a dreamy tropical wedding in the Bahamas!!!!

“Christopher and I actually met when I was on a blind date with his old high school friend. Ha! We were tailgating at the Chiefs football stadium and totally hit it off. We dated for awhile and then he moved down to Fayetteville Arkansas where we have now lived together for 2 years! We absolutely love to travel. We have been to Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Italy, Turks and Caicos, and most recently Greece where we proposed!! He was so romantic, he had bought the ring in October but waited to propose in Greece which was my lifelong dream trip that i never thought I’d be able to afford, where we asked me to marry him on a sunset cruise in Santorini!! He’s amazing. anyways, we are super silly and comfortable with each other. Chris is more quiet and i am more extra haha. He balances me well. I have never been a big wedding gal, as in I’ve never dreamed of a picture perfect wedding with all the normal traditions. In fact, I don’t want it.”

Not only was I over the moon because of their plans, but over the past two years I developed a real friendship with Kayln & Chris. That’s the only reason I am thankful for covid - for letting me spend more time texting and getting to know these two!!! Their hearts are so pure and their excitement for life is contagious. They are such a joy to be around and to see how great life is through their eyes!!! Anyone in their life is lucky to know them, it is so clear from their wedding that they love their community deeply and value quality time with each person in their life.

As you’ll clearly be able to see from these photos, I think the day was everything they dreamt it would be. Romantic, FUN, emotional, meaningful, and a darn good PARTY!!! (I mean… just do yourself a favor and make sure to scroll to the end to see how LIT the party got!!! Ending the night with a dip in the ocean!!)
